Bogle meeting Dr Dan and Linda Mars from SAVE

This past summer, Bearded Bogle, Save & Raid co-founder and main contact for the SAVE charity, met up with Dr Dan Reidenberg and Lisa Mars from SAVE.

In August 2022, Dr Dan, CEO of SAVE, and Linda Mars, SAVE’s National Outreach Network & Events Director, were passing through The Netherlands on their way home from a conference in Denmark. As Bogle lives in the Netherlands they decided to meet up for lunch in the Eye Film Museum in Amsterdam to discuss Save & Raid. Among the topics discussed were the success of the past events, the planning stages for the 2023 event as well as the state of mental health care and the strain on the mental health of people working from home as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dan and Linda were also interested in Twitch and the ins and outs of streaming.

One particular topic that was discussed was the question of how we can increase the media outreach for future S&R events. As this is something with which SAVE has significant experience, they are able to help S&R organizers get in contact with mainstream media outlets as well as other channels to get the word out about the event. For instance, by scheduling interviews with S&R organizers and participants. Expect to hear more about these efforts as they come to fruition for future events.

Also, they all had a grilled cheese sandwich. According to Bogle it was “quite good.”
