Save&Raid: Wastelands, Great Success!
The annual Save&Raid event has come and gone and it was an amazing success! But even though the weekend event is over, don't forget you can still donate to claim rewards and get us to some spicy milestones!!!
The event was closed by the organising team during a 'final hour' stream that lasted over two hours. After 51 hours (counting pre-show), playing through the entirety of Fallout 1 and a large chunk of Fallout 2, we raided into a small streamer chosen at random and called it quits. The event was an amazing success, with a lot of memorable moments, two Between 2 Beards talkshow hours and our best interview with Dr. Dan from SAVE yet! He once again set out a challenge for us. This time, to raise at least $100 each hour after his interview and if we did, he would match that $100. Since there were 12 hours left in the event, that meant he could potentially donate $1,200 to SAVE! And, as always, we met that challenge and never raised less than $130 each hour. One hour even managed to raise a little over $750!!!
That means that, at the time of writing, Save&Raid: Wastelands has raised (including Dr. Dan's donation): $14,822.69!! That is over $2,300 more than last year and means Save&Raid has raised $32,480.69 in the three years since the event was first held! (NICE)
We say at time of writing, because the campaign on Tiltify has not been closed yet. You can, in the near future, still donate to claim some of the rewards that streamers have provided. There are also still some very close milestones (look at the ones at $15k!) we could reach. The merch in the shop will also stay up for a while, after which we will see which T-Shirt was most popular. That shirt will be made available permanently, so make sure you buy additional merch while you still can. As always, all proceeds from Save&Raid merchandise go directly into the campaign (either this one or the one next year).
Thank you all so much to everyone who watched the event, who shared it among their communities and on social media, and of course to everyone who donated to such an amazing and worthy cause, Suicide Awareness Voices of Education. Thank you to each participating streamer for working hard to make their hour a fun experience. Thank you to everyone at SAVE, especially Dr. Dan Reidenberg and Linda Mars, for all the help in promoting and setting up this event. And finally, thanks to everyone in the organising committee for putting in the time and energy for many months to make sure that Save&Raid is as fun and succesful as it is!
