Save&Raid is looking for a PR Coordinator!

Save&Raid is looking for a new organizing team member! As we’re starting to plan the 2025 event (our 5th one already!) we have definitely noticed that S&R has plenty of room to grow. Starting this year, we would like to start putting extra effort into our media outreach and PR.

Do you think you have what it takes to help us out? Do you love Save&Raid and want to put more effort into making it the best event it can be? Are you excited to work in a small but dedicated team of volunteers? Then this might be for you!

PR Coordinator

As our PR coordinator, you will play a crucial role in shaping Save&Raid’s public image and engaging with both our existing community and the larger gaming and communities online. You will work closely within the leadership team to develop and execute plans to promote S&R in general, and the annual event and our relationship with SAVE specifically.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement ideas to increase the greater awareness of S&R.
• Write press releases, articles, and other content to share our stories and achievements.
• Manage media relations, including building and maintaining relationships with (gaming) media outlets and influencers.
• Coordinate press events, interviews, community outreach, and promotional activities.
• Monitor media coverage and respond as necessary.
• Collaborate with our Social Media coordinator to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
• Join our organizing team meetings throughout the year, where we develop each S&R event together.

Qualifications:

• Writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• An understanding of the media landscape and the available options for S&R.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for social causes and a commitment to S&R and suicide prevention.
• The ability to work well with others, share and discuss your opinions during meetings and help fellow members of the team out if necessary.
• Although this position is open to people who have not actually streamed during a S&R event (yet), an affinity with (and knowledge of) videogames and streaming, and of course prior knowledge of the S&R event, is preferred.

We are all volunteers and just because we’re big enough now to start writing vacancies like this does not mean that will change!
